Inventory in Half-Hog Units
We track inventory in half-hog units. When reserving, a Half Hog equals 1 unit and a Whole Hog equals 2 units from your chosen date to ensure accurate stock management.

Secure with a Deposit
Please Note
Processing fees are separate from the cost of your pork and are paid directly to the processor.
Pay a deposit today to reserve your half or whole hog. The remaining balance is calculated using the final hanging weight, with your deposit applied toward the total.

Confirm & Prepare
Check your inbox for a confirmation from Blicharski Farms. We will reach out as the date nears to coordinate cut sheets, final payment, and farm pickup instructions.
Process & Fulfillment
What to expect after you reserve your pork.
Timeline & Curing
Once processing begins, fresh pork moves quickly through the facility. While curing times for hams or bacon vary, your order is typically ready for pickup about 7–10 days after the initial processing date. Please note this is an estimated timeframe.
Cutting & Wrapping
Your pork is expertly butchered and vacuum-packaged to maintain peak freshness. Each individual cut is clearly marked so you can easily organize your freezer at home.
Pickup Logistics
Our team will reach out once your pork is ready for farm pickup in Carleton, MI. We will guide you through the cut sheet submission and final payment process. A Half Hog share usually fits into one or two large coolers for the drive home.
Key Expectations
We maintain open communication throughout the entire journey. Expect updates via text as your processing date approaches and when your specific order is officially ready for pickup. For storage, please plan for approximately 2-3 cubic feet of freezer space for a Half Hog or 4-6 cubic feet for a Whole Hog to ensure everything fits comfortably.
